The National Public Seating 2200 Series folding chair features a robust steel frame and premium fabric upholstery, designed to provide comfortable and durable temporary seating. Crafted with a char-blue, 18-gauge, 7/8" tubular steel "Y-frame" structure, this chair boasts a range of impressive specifications.

The seat and backrest are upholstered in an imperial blue fabric, which has been tested to withstand 30,000 double rubs, ensuring its durability under heavy use. The upholstery is further enhanced with Scotchgard stain protection and water repellency, helping to maintain the chair's appearance.

For added stability and support, the chair is equipped with double-riveted front and rear leg cross braces, as well as double hinges on each side. This sturdy design allows the chair to support a static weight of up to 480 pounds and a drop weight of 300 pounds, meeting the American National Standards Institute/Business & Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (ANSI/BIFMA) standard.

The seat and backrest are padded with high-density foam, measuring 1-1/4" thick and 1.2 lb. density, respectively, ensuring exceptional comfort for users. The seat's rounded, "waterfall" front edge helps reduce pressure on the back of the knees.

When not in use, the chair can be folded for efficient storage, allowing it to fit closely with other chairs of the same kind. This feature makes it well-suited for institutional temporary seating applications, such as in educational, worship, hospitality, and food service settings.

Designed with sustainability in mind, the chair is Materials Analytical Services (MAS) certified as low volatile organic compound (VOC) emitting furniture, meeting the criteria defined by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) 2009 for Schools and Commercial Interiors, as well as the ANSI/BIFMA X7.1-2011 and ANSI/BIFMA e3-2011e Furniture Sustainability Standard - Section 7.6.1. Additionally, the upholstery meets the flammability requirements of the California Bureau of Home Furnishings and Thermal Insulation Technical Bulletin 117 (TB117).

Replaceable polypropylene glides on the chair help protect floor surfaces, while plastic plugs at the top of the back legs have a slot-shaped design to hold the frame and add stability. These plugs and the floor glides match the frame color, providing a cohesive aesthetic.
